Questions
- What is vaporwave music?
- Vaporwave is an internet-born genre from the early 2010s. Classic vaporwave slows down, loops and soaks in reverb old samples of 80s and 90s smooth jazz, elevator music, R&B and adverts, paired with a pastel, early-internet look. Read the full guide on this site.
- Is Purrple Cat vaporwave?
- Not strictly. Purrple Cat makes original lofi and chillwave with dreamy synths and a vaporwave mood, without sampling other people’s records. That is why this site says vaporwave-inspired.

- Yes. Every track here is a Purrple Cat Self Release under CC BY 4.0. It is free to use with credit on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, Facebook, X and other social media, and livestreams are fine. Credit “Music by Purrple Cat”.
